Invisible Cities

Invisible Cities is an interdisciplinary and multimedia artistic project conceived and directed by Teatro Potlach director, Pino Di Buduo in 1991. It’s main goal is the rediscovery of the historical and cultural identity of places: cities, districts or regions around the world. The project aims to reawaken a strong sense of belonging in the inhabitants of the city. In difference sites of the city, scenic installations, musical performances, multimedia installations, choreographed sequences and recreations of architectural spaces take place simultaneously. The convention of traditional theatrical spaces is broken down making the physical space of the city the real stage for the performance.

Pino Di Buduo

Pino founded Teatro Potlach in 1976 and still works actively as Artistic Director of the company. He created the project Cittá Invisibili (Invisible Cities) ion 1991 and to date more than 60 Cittá Invisibili have been created in Italy, France, Austria, England, Denmark, Brazil and the USA. Education of the next generation of artists in important to Pino; he organises seminars, practical workshops for actors and directors and collaborates with Italian and International Universities. Every year he participates as a speaker at many conferences and conventions all over the world. In 2000 he created and organised the Intercultural Festival Laboratory of Theatre Practices which takes place every June and July in Italy.

Stanislavski Method Acting

Stanislavski Method Acting

The Stanislavski course will provide a step by step approach to understanding and using the Stanislavski system of acting. Actors will be introduced to exercises that will help them to understand how the Stanislavski method works both in theory and in practice. The exercises are the ones handed down by Stanislavski from his work at the Moscow Art Theatre as part of his actor training system. Students work on a series of progressively complex exercises to develop an ability to first improvise, then to access an emotional life, and finally to bring the spontaneity of improvisation and the richness of personal response to textual work.
