What is LAMDA?
LAMDA examinations in Acting use the preparation and performance of dramatic scenes to support the development of self-confidence and communication skills. By portraying other characters, actors can explore a range of different personalities and emotions. The development of a clear speaking voice and good body language are also an integral part of the exam.
Group Acting examinations help actors to develop self-awareness and empathy, encouraging them to take on a different character for the purposes of performance and to be an active member of the team.
As part of this course actors will have the opportunity to take up to 2 examinations in Dubai with an external examiner from the UK:
Solo or Duo plus Group Acting
LAMDA, one of the world’s oldest acting schools, based in London has been offering practical examinations in communication and performance subjects for over 150 years. Almost 90,000 candidates took LAMDA examinations in over 30 countries last year, making LAMDA the largest internationally recognised drama awarding body.
Through examinations LAMDA empowers and inspires individuals across the globe – providing them with a means to improve acting and communication skills, increase self-confidence and develop strong social skills, regardless of their experience or ability.
